Registration Procedure.

AQUART International Video Art Competition is postponed to 2011!

For future registrations artists will be informed late 2010!!

All artists could apply through the web site www.ourlifeintheoceans.com
In order to have a valid registration each applicant should:

  • Fill all the fields in the registration form
  • State that accept the terms of the competition
  • Fill the relevant Solemn Statement
  • Send both the registration form and the Solemn Statement electronically by email at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
    as well as by mail along with the video in the suggested adress.
  • Each artist might send up to 4 videos filling a separate registration form and Solemn Statement for each of them.
  • In the case that in the production of a video more artists took place, as artist for the competition is recognised and awarded only the one whose name is in the registration form.
  • If a video with more than one creators is submitted by more than one of them then as artist for the competition is recognised only one that managed to send this work first with his registration form.

Guidelines for Participation.

All submitted works must fulfil the following guidelines in order to oficially be selected for the competition:
  • Filled All the fields in the registration form and Official statement
  • The work must be max 5 min long
  • The work must not be created later than 2005.
  • The work has to be submitted in the indicated formats.
  • The work must be in English
  • The work must be accompanied by a small image file with all the technical caracteristics
During the competition at any time point the orgnisers have the right to wave or withdraw every work that does not fulfill the above guidelines

Phases:
  • Phase 1: Selection of works submitted by 1st of September 2009 by the Project Managers based on fulfilment of all the submittion criteria.
  • Phase 2: 1st -20th of September 2009 : Committee Selection
  • Phase 3: 25th of September 2009 - Artist invitations to the Award ceremony Venue (Athens, Greece)
  • Phase 4: 4th of October 2009: Award ceremony - exhibition of all selected works

LEGAL TERMS - GENERAL

Any dispute on the terms and the competition realisation is resolved by the Selection Committee and permanetely by the Competent Greek Courts applying the Greek Law.
