'AquArt' is a pioneering and unique cultural event that has been organised to illustrate the role of fish in Greek Art, from the ancient to modern times and is the first exhibition of art that directly concerns aquaculture.
This exhibition has been arranged to coincide with the FEAP's 37th Annual General Assembly and takes place in the Pavlos Kountouriotis Mansion House in Hydra, under the artistic supervision of Yannis Kolokotronis, a prominent Professor of the History of Art. The concept, planning and organisation have been made by Dr. Panos Christofilogiannis, the General Manager of AQUARK.
'AquArt' has been realized under the close supervision of FEAP's President, John Stephanis, and the exhibition is presented under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture, the Hydra Municipality and the FEAP. It is composed of two (2) thematic areas; a Joint Exhibition of paintings by 21 pioneering contemporary artists:

and a new Multimedia presentation on the role of fish in art, ancient and modern, with a dynamic projection of audiovisual material. This presentation has incorporated the film of Michalis Arfaras that was a prize winner at the Rhine-Westfallen International Festival of Experimental Cinema (1993).
